Our Mission Is Simple:

Helping you help others.

How We Got Here

Minty Fresh's origins can be traced back to a parking lot.

While parking his car at a local trail head, our founder wondered if an existing resource for people enjoying the outdoors in Colorado had untapped potential to become so much more than its intended purpose.

The idea included giving local, state, and national organizations a chance to promote their businesses by supporting the city parks and trails in a unique way. The result would create a new revenue stream for the parks department, and sustain a much-needed service frequented by the public.

Soon after, it was evident the concept was scalable to assist any parks and recreation department, anywhere, with this simple concept: Help parks departments sustain a service that is in high demand. Help the community by continuing to provide a valuable service offered by parks and recreation departments. And help local, state, and national businesses gain exposure as supporters of park services. All the while accomplishing those objectives while lowering expenses.

It also became evident that this same approach could be used with non-profit organizations, as well.

So, that's our story.

We're living out our purpose, helping you live out yours.

HELLO!

R. Brian Phillips

founder

I have enjoyed local, state, and national parks all my life and in many different ways: running along city park trails; walking my dog around my neighborhood park; being introduced to my first Adventure Learning Experience as a teenager through Outward Bound in Big Bend National Park; taking casual hikes through state parks when I need a change of scenery; chalking up an occasional 14er in Colorado when I'm motivated to add another peak to my list; strolling through national monuments and driving through national parks; and taking young people on week-long camping trips in the beautiful San Juan National Forest to show them they don't need all the creature comforts they thought they needed, and to take in views they thought were only possible through CGI movie effects; and so many more I could share.

So, it should come as no surprise that while enjoying one of our local park trails, I thought of a way I could help reduce park expenses, in order to use the money saved to support new and existing programs.

Volunteering has also played a significant part in my life, through organizations such as my church, a global youth organization called Young Life, Habitat for Humanity, and the Salvation Army. In the process, I gained far more than I gave — a humbling awareness of the hardships that so many people have to face every day. And, hopefully, the empathy to want to do more to help them.

All that to say, I'm excited to offer a way to give back to the institutions that have made such a large impact on my life.

Join us as we embark on this adventure to help those who help others.

Let us help you sustain the priceless services you provide to those of us who have the pleasure of enjoying them — and to those of us who need them during difficult times.
